Invasion of the Snails

The Bentonville Square was invaded by giant pink snails...the kids thought this was really cool!!

H.A.V.E.N. that Spells Haven!

We crafted Haven's wooden letters last night. She picked the letters and paper them Mike and I did the rest.

Can You Hear Me Now?!

Last night at dinner Gray decided to use his corn on the cob as a phone. It was so funny and cute I couldn't resist to blog about it!

Mother's Day!!

I have been a mother for 6 years now, if you include being pregnant, and each Mother's Day is better than the last! I can 100% without a doubt say I have the best husband and kids I could ever ask for. They sure know how to spoil me!!

First, Haven brought home breakfast in bed, a muffin, from school for me to enjoy this morning. Too bad I can't eat as soon as I wake up, it was the thought that counts. Last night Haven and Gray gave me their present. I have to say I was beyond shocked when I opened it. Never did I expect them to get me the new iPad!! I am so in love with it and so excited to start using it for EVERYTHING!!

Earlier this week Mike gave me his present. He knew how long I have been searching for the perfect diaper bag, 6 years to be exact! And while at 3 Monkeys this week I found the PERFECT one. I fell in love with it at sight and knew my search was finally over!
I have to smile as I tell you Mike's plan to give me my gift because it was the sweetest thing ever... After telling Mike about said bag he consulted his female co-workers (one whom is pregnant) about how important a diaper bag actually is. To my defense they both said it was the most important thing because I will be carrying it everywhere, everyone's stuff will be going into and more than likely it will be taking the place of my purse. With that said, he decided he had to get it for me and formed a plan. He was going to leave work right at 5:00 and go purchase the bag and ask them to gift wrap it and hold it for him at the store. He was then going to meet me at home and suggest we go look at the bag and allow him to see if for himself. When we arrive at the store the bag would no longer be there and I was to become crushed because someone else had already purchased the bag. But as we were leaving the store an associate was to ask if I was Constance Perrin and say they had something for me, hand me the package and to my surprise it would be the diaper bag. Such a sweet, thoughtful idea right?! Well, my poor sweet husband did not know that 3 Monkey's moved to Fayetteville until after calling them because the store was no longer where it once was. So his plan was ruined. He ended up telling me about his said plan over a wonderful dinner and said I could go get the diaper bag the following day as his Mother's Day present.
The thought and planning alone was sweet enough for me. He is such a wonderful husband, one day one of his plans will work out!

I still can't believe that I have been a mother for 6 years now. Seems just like yesterday my only concerns were what I was going to wear and where everyone was meeting after work. Now my days are loading down with laundry, cleaning messes, running one here and another there, dirty diapers and being mom'd 24/7, but I wouldn't change it for the world. Just think, I still haven't added Elleanor's commands to the list!!

Bugz Play

Haven had her end of the year school play called Bugz. She was a lady bug and had her very own part of speaking in the microphone! She did a great job.

Afterwards we had a picnic in her classroom to celebrate the plays theme and to end the school year.

Here is Haven and her teacher Ms. Kerr.

And here is Haven and her friend Anna Grace, whom we learned is moving today after school. She and Haven are going to switch addresses and become pen pals!!

It's hard to believe that kindergarden is almost over and Haven will soon be in first grade! She has grown into such a big girl, we are so proud of her!

Geocaching!

Geocaching is a real-world outdoor treasure hunting game. People try to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, ,using GPS-enabled devices and then share their experiences online. We LOVE it!! Our first caching experience was this past Tuesday. We got on our bikes and headed out to two caches within a two mile radius of our house. I had forgotten how much the kids loved riding in the bike carriage! The first cache was really easy. It took us about 5 minutes to find it and most of that time was walking to the hiding location. Here it is hidden in a tree! Can you see it?

The second cache almost defeated us, but Mike found it on his last attempt. A note from a previous Cacher clued him in on where to look, "keep your head up". The location of this cache was really cool. It was located within an old cemetery and inside a really old wooden fort right along the woods. Really creepy if you went looking at night! Here are some pictures...

And here was it's hiding location. Can you see it?

The next night we introduced Boedy, Laura, Brooke and Bronx to caching. They too loved it! Well, I think Boedy would have liked it more if he had not stepped on a snake. Yikes!! I can't wait until we all go caching again. We are also planning on setting up our own cache! Stay tuned to find out when it's ready and maybe you can be the FTF (first to find)!!

Meet the Perrins!!

Here we are, back into the blogging world! It's be awhile and I have a lot of catching up to do, but I'll get to that later! Lets start off by re-introducing the family!! First we have the Makers (parents): Mike and Constance!

Mike is an amazing father! He enjoys baseball, coaching the kids sporting events, Geocaching, being outdoors and just playing with kids. Any family time he can get he'll take. He is also an amazing husband. So much so, that he works really hard to allow me to stay home with the kids and enjoy as much time as I can with them. Which also gives me extra time to do that other things I love; couponing, crafting, being in Moms Club, coaching softball, Geocaching, being outdoors and spending as much time as I can with the family. Next is Miss Haven!!

Haven Elizabeth is 5, 6 in June. It wasn't until this year that Haven really got into sports and running, which makes mommy and daddy happy!! She really loves rock climbing, swimming, music, crafting, reading, the beach and anything with her friends. She has one the biggest hearts a little girl can have. She is truly a special piece to our family! Third is Gray!

Grayson Evers is 2, 3 in Jan. He is one curly headed lady killer for sure! Everyone loves his hair (daddy is a bit jealous of it!). Gray is 100% boy; loving cars, trains, mud, water puddles, swinging, guitars, B-ball (that's what he calls all sports), getting his sister into trouble and making messes. Well, he hates bugs! Gray is one huge cuddle bug in the morning and is attached to daddy's hip and asking about him 24/7 while he's at work. Each day is grows into a little man more and more. And finally, growing as I type, is Elleanor!!

Elleanor Remme will officially join the world/family Aug 28, 2012, if not sooner. We are so excited to meet her and see her little face. So far she is very active at night and early morning. She is pretty relaxed during the day and does not like her brother laying on mommy's belly to watch cartoons! We have one pet, Bear!

Yes, he is a rabbit!! He has been the best pet we have had so far. Along with carrots, Bear enjoys paper, playing in the yard, eating flowers, roaming the house and being lazy. He dislikes his collar and leash, but what can we expect, he's a rabbit! That's us!!

Every day is a new adventure and something random. For example, today Gray has tried to get his sister to eat his poo while chasing her with it, managed to string gum all over his body, Haven has left trails of lettuce all over the house for Bear and made numerous snowflakes, Elle tried to kick Gray off my stomach while he watched cartoons and Bear has tried to eat my mail! All be 12:00pm!! This is our life and I wouldn't have it any other way!!
